A modern European restaurant nestled away in the quiet streets of Hammersmith, The Brackenbury is one of the borough’s best kept secrets.

What to Expect

The skill, expertise and passion of the staff shines through in the food, as well as the welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. Owner come head chef Humphrey Fletcher (Kensington Place, The Glasshouse, The River Cafe and The Royal Well Tavern in Cheltenham), and head of service, Olivier Subira (The Dock Kitchen, The River Cafe, Chez Bruce) have worked at the some of the best restaurants in London – and it shows. With a simple approach to cooking, the flavours and tastes of the ingredients really shine through.

The venue has just had a major refurbishment, the bar has moved to the front making way for a lush garden room, while new paintings by local artists add to the homely feel.

Brackenbury food

The menu takes influences from both France and Italy

What to Eat

The Agnolotti – made on site – is one of the restaurant’s signature dishes. The fillings change regularly, but the perfect pasta parcels are stuffed with slow cooked meats, usually pork or game. Delicious.

The menu incorporates the best of local and seasonal ingredients with dishes including Rabbit & Chicken Agnolotti with morels, tarragon and Parmesan; Roast Lamb Rump, samphire and salsa verde, potato and fennel gratin; and to finish why not try the Almond Tart with rhubarb and crème fraiche for the ultimate summer dessert?

What to Drink

Pair your final course with one of their delicious dessert wines. Or go for the Aperol Sour – perfect for summer evenings on the terrace.
