Taste a selection of Japanese Izakaya dishes every Tuesday for just £28 with Kurobuta’s new FEED ME menu “Tight Ass Tuesdays”.

What to Expect?

Scott Hallsworth has picked out his Kurobuta favourites for a great five-course menu each Tuesday. Simply turn up from 6pm onwards every Tuesday at any of Kurobuta’s locations and tell your server (nicely) “Feed me”.

The concept of the Izakaya comes from Hallsworth’s experience in Japan – relaxed and informal places to go a grab a drink and share great food.

What to Eat?

Sit back and watch the dishes come in. This menu selection has evolved over time but we loved the variety of Kurobuta’s favourite dishes from the snacks, raw dishes, highlights and Junk Food Japan. Start things off with Sweet Potato and Soba-Ko Fries with kimchee mayo and jalapeño sauce and then move onto the Salmon Sashimi with Kizami Wasabi Salsa and Yuzu Soy, for a refreshing citrus kick.

The menu throws a nod to Hallsworth’s fascination with Junk Food Japan with the Miso Grilled Hot Wings, deliciously moreish and sticky, then continuing the journey with the Tuna Sashimi Pizza, a signature dish that’s not worth missing!

Indulge in building your own Singaporean Fried Chicken Bao buns and the last savoury dish to come in is the Nasu Dengaku – sticky miso grilled aubergine with a sweet candied walnut twist. The selection finally ends with Mochi ice cream for dessert.

What to Drink?

Cocktails start at just £5 – the Sake Caipirinha and Yakuza being our favourites with the inclusion of Sake in both. Wines are from £15 a bottle and there’s the refreshing Kirin Frozen Pints for just £4 – a nod to traditional izakaya drink traditions in Japan.

Best for?

A great feast with friends without blowing the budget. There’s a fun, relaxed feel here rather than a tradition restaurant vibe that this izakaya offers.
