Brixton Autumn Vegan Festival

Food, News  /

The Brixton Autumn Vegan Festival hits south London this October, bringing with it a host of vegan and gluten-free specialists, plus street food.

What to Expect

On Sunday 2 October, explore two floors of vegan street food, with plenty of gluten-free options as well as eco-friendly gifts, at Brixton’s Dogstar.

Mex It Up

What to Eat

Feeling savoury? Mex It Up are offering vegan Mexican street food, featuring tacos, nachos, and chilli; Nuragic Foods bring a Sardinian take on vegan, with dishes including lasagne, vegan pesto, and vegan Parmesan; Young Vegans are serving gluten-free burritos, samosas and dosa, with curry; and find out more about Life After Hummus’ Food For Life Cooking Classes and supper clubs.

For dessert, head to Vegan Sweet Tooth if you fancy cake or sweet and savoury pastries; or Goodens & Co for gluten-free crêpes, with all sorts of fillings to choose from, including vegan nutella (yes it exists!), strawberries, bananas and savoury options too.

What to Drink

Visit Dandelions, a coffee shop with a twist – there’s not one bean of coffee involved… you’ll have to ask them! While you’re sipping your alternative coffee, try their vegan wraps, muffins, or ‘not’ carrot cake.

Don’t Miss

Gambardelis are serving vegan steaks. Plus, TurnAhPot are offering a bunch of seasonings, recipe books, nutrition courses and Caribbean fusion food by Chef J.
