French burger specialist Big Fernand is celebrating its first birthday and you’re invited…

Forget the birthday cake. Don’t miss the unveiling of their new creation: Le Balthazar, specially made to mark their first year in London.

This is their “Frenchest burger yet”: featuring a combination of minced Charloais beef; Camembert Fermier; pork belly; Calvados apple compote, cocktail sauce and chives. (Yep, all of that).

Big Fernand, based in Fitzrovia, specialises in “hamburgés”, burgers made with a pronounced French accent. The burgers are made from premium meat, cooked to your preference, and topped with a lip-smacking combination of French cheeses and home-made sauces, and wrapped up in a secret-recipe “pain de mie” bun.

The Le Balthazar burger will be available at Big Fernand from 23 March until 10 April at £10.
