Kick start summer-time drinking with a great Tap Takeover taking place at independent pub The King & Co. Get tasting brews from the award-winning Big Smoke Brew Co the “Brewery of the Month” in May…

What is it?

Clapham-based The King & Co will host a Tap Takeover and Meet the Brewer night with Big Smoke Brew Co on Thursday 5 May. The evening will feature free tasters and special drinks offers, giving guests a great chance to sample a selection of Big Smoke Brew Co‘s flavourful, naturally unrefined and unfiltered craft beers. Don’t miss the chance to chat to the team behind the brews and learn what pairs best with your tastes…

Who are They?

Surbiton-based Big Smoke Brew Co brew in the former stables at the back of The Antelope Ale & Cider House, with a commitment to brewing beers they’d like to drink themselves – flavourful, additive free, with a punch. We’ll drink to that.

What to Try?

Whether you make it for the Tap Takeover, or during the month, there’s a beer for all tastes. Try the hoppy Mothership Amber ale or the full-bodied, well-balanced Medicine Man IPA, if you’re an ale drinker. Pair the Dark Wave Porter with its roasted malts, coffee and chocolate aromas with dessert. The cask line-up includes the crisp Solaris Session and bitter Electric Eye Pale Ales, as well as the complex Underworld Milk Stout, brewed with milk sugar, raw cacao nibs and espresso beans. Mmmm.
