It’s Chocolate Week from 12-18 October – and you can indulge in your cocoa friend at The Chocolate Show this weekend for exhibitors, shows, demonstrations and more.
From Friday 16 to Saturday 18 October, The Chocolate Show gives you the chance to taste your way round exhibitors in one venue (less walking, more eating), including Hotel Chocolat, Divine, Rococo, Paul a Young, Willie’s Cacao, Marou and many more.
Bean to Bar
That’s not all, the event will be the first show to make chocolate from the bean, live. And you can get involved, too, and make your very own chocolate bar. Plus, take handy tips (and produce) home from the UK’s largest independent chocolate distributor HB Ingredients, handcrafted chocolate-makers Paul Wayne-Gregory and Bean to Bar UK.
This year there’s a new Bean to Bar area which will be spreading the word about fine chocolate, plus look out for Cocoa Runners – offering brands never seen before in the UK and exhibiting artisans in from across the globe.
Healthy Chocolate Area
Yes, this is a thing. Exhibitors Sweet Virtues will be sharing top tips on how to fit chocolate into a balanced diet with some chocolate that’s actually good for you. Fact.
The Great British Spiced Chocolate Challenge
Over 100 professional and amateur chocolatiers have been fighting it out to make the best spiced chocolate, using ingredients from spice company Seasoned Pioneers. You can watch the final round as finalists go head to head, with the winning product being fast-tracked into a top London food hall in time for Christmas.
The Great British Bake Off and co
Want to try your hand at patisserie and chocolate making? The Great British Bake Off winner Edd Kimber and restaurateurs Chris and Jeff Galvin, plus patisserie chefs Will Torrent and Paul A Young will be offering live demonstrations.
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
That’s right, straight from the London stage, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory the musical will be hosting a children’s area where kids can design their own chocolate bar – and look out for the iconic Great Glass Elevator.
