Hendrick’s Surreptitious Subterranean Summertime Garden at the Worship Street Whistling Shop – we agree it’s quite the mouthful – is a must for all gin lovers this summer. But try and choose a rainy day.

What to Expect?

Buried away around the corner from Shoreditch, the Whistling Shop itself is a Victoriana themed drinking den, and one of the locations Hendrick’s has chosen to launch its latest gin – Orbium.

In fitting with the name of the pop up, once you enter the Whistling Shop you’ll be immersed into an underground summertime gin garden. Covered in flowers, plants and ivy, it’s perfect for a rainy summer day when a real garden just won’t cut it.

What to Drink

Hendrick’s new gin is being showcased at 20 exclusive venues in the UK – and the Whistling Shop is one of them! Built on the same gin as their usual mix Orbium features added botanicals, including wormwood and blue lotus.

In keeping with the garden theme, the menu is also floral, with each cocktail based around a specific flower. For example there is the Peculiar Lemonade, which features camomile, and Cucumberolic, which features rose.

Our favourite was the Analeptic Spirit – which comes served in a watering can!

Don’t Miss

Aside from their gin menu, the Whistling Shop also has a menu themed around an atlas, so you can literally drink your way around the world.

Worship Street Whistling Shop | 63 Worship Street, EC2A 2DU. The pop-up will run throughout the summer until the end of August
