Head to revamped North London music venue The Garage’s all-day bar The General Store for casual vibes and cool cocktails.
What to Expect
Far from its adjacent sister venue, The General Store is a bright, chilled space, decked out with pale green walls and monochrome tiles. Take a seat at the counter by the window and people-watch or head to a diner-style booth at the back and relax – drink in hand – whilst listening to their great playlist (obvs).
What to Drink
Open until late, The General Store is perfect for a morning coffee or a post-work beer. However, don’t miss the new cocktail menu, which features seasonal flavours, as well as classic pairings. Try a refreshing gin cocktail, like the G, T & T – a take on the classic gin and tonic, dressed up with green tea syrup – or the General Store Patent Tonic with Bloom Gin and subtle flavours of grapefruit, pomegranate and mint.
If it’s bold and sophisticated that you’re after, go for the Rum Punch with three different rums, Cognac, apple and guava juice, or the General Store Sour – just Whiskey, lemon juice and maple syrup. To satisfy even the sweetest tooth, there’s the rhubarb and raspberry based Sweetshop Surprise, topped off with prosecco. Available for two to share, it’s served in a giant sweetie jar.
Get the drinks in and catch up with mates or grab a booth and cosy up to your date.
An Instagrammer’s delight, the bright blue Electric Lemonade is served in a lightbulb (top picture)!
