What to Expect

Celebrate every aspect of the chilli. The festival focuses on eating, growing and cooking with the chilli – perfect for fans of a bit of heat. Take part in workshops and tasting sessions and don’t miss out on the chance to pick up your own spicy supplies in the market. Celebrate the best of local and established traders, as well an afternoon of DJ sets and live music. Featuring the likes of ‘Burning Desire’ ‘Sidekick Sauces,’ and ‘Firefoods,’ The Festival of Heats boasts the widest selection of UK- grown chili producers. Flavour Gurus from Made in Hackney reveal their secrets in the Festival Kitchen through masterclasses, workshops and demonstrations, including ‘Growing the Perfect Chilli’, and ‘Cooking with Chilli to achieve the perfect Heat.’

What to Eat

White Men Can’t Jerk are one of the featured vendors serving up delicious dishes on the day, as well as a few other traders including Ayam Happy, Agua Na Boca and Purbeck Ice  Cream.

The Festival Market – Foodies pick up goods from from the Festival Market. You’ll find a fantastic display of chilli and other harvest produce from chili growers and farms from all over the UK.

The Festival of Heat also includes a vibrant crafts and artisan market made up of local crafts people from the Shoreditch Arts & Crafts Market.
