Hitting three London destinations, Foodies Festival is back for it’s 11th year – and we’ve got a pair of VIP tickets to give away.

Foodies Festival has become the staple diet of our summer calendar, always packed with top chefs, fascinating demonstrations, oodles of champagne, beer and wine tastings and rows of artisan producers and street-food vendors, this is not to be missed. And this year, Blackheath joins Alexandra Palace and Syon Park with a brand new Foodies Festival.

What is it?

Foodies Festival offers the perfect blend: the more chilled out visitors can while away a few hours on the grass tasting their way through top street-food trucks and stay entertained with live music acts, while the more determined foodies among us can sign themselves up to live demonstrations in the Chefs Theatre and tastings in the Cake, Bake and Tasting Theatre, plus try a few tipples in the Drinks TheatreSorted.

What to Try…

If you want food that makes you feel good as well as taste fantastic, you’ll love this year’s Feel Good Foods theme. Healthy living chefs and food writers will explain nutritional and emotional benefits linked to eating ‘Feel Good Foods’ such as cheese (a source of phenylethylamie – the so-called love drug) and dark chocolate and seaweed (both sources of serotonin – the happy drug). Plus, check out how to cook with superfoods including kefir, lucuma, freekeh, kelp and banana flour, and sirt rich foods such as blueberries, kale, celery, buckwheat, turmeric, chilli and red onion.

Don’t Miss…

Get up close and personal with a huge line-up of top chefs at each Foodies Festival. You’ll find the likes of Michelin-starred chef Atul Kochhar of BenaresMasterChef Finalist 2015 Tony Rodd, Bread Street Kitchen‘s Paul Shearing and Saiphin Moore of Rosa’s Thai Cafe sharing their skills at Syon Park. Celebrity chef and star of The BBC’s The Real Marigold Hotel Rosemary Shrager will be rocking up to Blackheath along with restaurant chefs like Arnaud Stevens of Sixtyone. And Alexandra Palace will see the launch of celebrity chef, Aldo Zilli‘s brand new Italian burrito street-food range.

British Street Food Awards

Blackheath‘s three-day festival brings with it the South heats for the People’s Choice Award at the British Street Food Awards. You can feast on signature dishes served from street-food vendors and vote for your favourite. A panel of experts will also judge the competing vendors for other categories including Best Main, Best Sandwich, Lifetime Achievement Award and Best Vegetarian Dish, with all the regional winners being announced late Sunday afternoon.
