Interactive creative events company, Petersham Road is putting on an underground utopian immersive experience dedicated to music, erotica, dance, and performance – and Food Circus are serving up wraps! Intrigued? So are we.
What is it?
This Bank Holiday weekend, from 29-30 April, The Realm of Shunga will transport you to the year 2121 – a place where all popular culture has been banished from the outside world. Enter a forbidden labyrinth of speakeasies and dance at the Bates Motel Disco. Their advice? “Remember to be careful where you tread, who you tell and always ask questions. Shunga is never quite what it seems…”
Ooo er. All this is thirsty work…
What to Drink
Bimber Distillery presents gin and vodka bars (known for their oak-aged vodka), and there’ll be Petersham Nurseries prosecco from the organisers’ family vineyards. Or catch standard gin and vodka mixers at The Fishmongers Bar.
Beer-lovers look out for the craft beer bar also stocking whisky and serving simple whisky cocktails.

Food Circus serve up veggie wraps with a twist
What to Eat
Food Circus is back! We last checked them out at Magic Roundabout and now the team will be serving up the legendary vegetarian and playfully named Where’s My Duck? wrap, five-spiced black bean fritter with spring onion, cucumber, chopped peanuts and hoisin sauce; and the Where’s My Lamb wrap, minted chickpea fritter with sesame coleslaw, candied chillis, tahini sauce and pomegranate sauce.
You can also enjoy wasabi oysters at Lonely Sole Fishmongers, and we’ve heard on the grapevine that Kitty Travers could be serving up ice cream.
Don’t Miss
The Heavenly Sake Bar – these guys make their own sake.
