The House of Peroni is bringing Italy back to east London for its summer residency.

What to Expect

Each residency brings with it an Italian-inspired theme, this time it’s: ‘Amare l’Italia’, meaning ‘For the love of Italy’. From 18 May ’til 1 July, at Proud East in Haggerston, you can explore the tastes, smells and atmosphere of Italy without leaving London at this free immersive event.

What to Drink

Why, Peroni Nastro Azzurro of course! But cocktails are at the heart of The House of Peroni experience, and with Master of Mixology, award-winning Simone Caporale at the helm, you can’t leave without trying one (or a few). Former assistant head bartender at The Artesian at The Langham Hotel, Caporale has created an eclectic range of Peroni Nastro Azzurro infused drinks. Beer in a cocktail? Trust us, he knows what he’s doing.

Italian Job Classico

An Italian version of the British brunch will be served every Saturday and Sunday between 11am and 3pm

What to Eat

The House of Peroni brings in the experts to put on an authentic Italian experience. This time, the Residency Master of Taste is the critically acclaimed Francesco Mazzei, chef patron at newly refurbished Sartoria in Mayfair (and previously at L’Anima). Francesco is inspired by Southern Italian cooking – as described in his latest cookbook Mezzogiorno – and combines his memories of growing up in Calabria with delicious ingredients from the area.

There’ll be a range of food on offer, from Italian-themed brunch on the weekend (pictured above) and cicchetti – bar snacks and small dishes, to wood-fired pizza of the day and freshly made pasta.

Best for…

There’s a bespoke series of events including mixology classes, Italian culinary masterclasses and private dining experiences. Check out the pre-bookable private dining experiences on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays where you will be invited to sit together and enjoy a sumptuous five-course Italian feast, inspired by the family gatherings of chef Francesco Mazzei.

Don’t Miss

Handmade hazelnut gelato ice cream at the weekend, as well as Caramello Salato E Popcorn (salted caramel ice cream with popcorn and polenta chips). Or try the special Peroni Nastro Azzurro and Bergamot Sorbetti.
