Street Eats: The Lacy Nook

Food  /

Head to The Lacy Nook, our favourite new hidden gem in Stoke Newington for a Sunday BBQ lunch menu serving up Balkan-style flavours.

What to Expect

There’s plenty to choose from, so get tucking in. Order individual plates to share from the Sunday menu or dive into a bit of everything for only £25 each (which we recommend). Add the BBQ Platter and you’re set for a feast. Flavours are inspired by owners Elena’s and Jana’s travels.

Feast on Balkan and fusion flavours

What to Eat

From the selection of small dishes our favourites had to be the refreshing Baked Beets with rosary goat cheese, pistachios and orange dressing; and the Charred aubergine, walnuts, parsley, garlic and sour cream. Oh so tasty flavours.

For the the BBQ lovers out there the Beef Cevapi will have you reaching for seconds!

The Baklava ice cream sandwich – perfect for summer

And there’s more! Make sure you leave enough room for dessert and indulge in the Baklava. This raspberry and pistachio Baklava ice cream sandwich is made to a family recipe and the perfect summery treat.

What to Drink

The bar serves a selection of wines, beers, spirits and cocktails so you can pimp up Sunday lunch with an Aperol Spritz, or recover from Saturday’s antics with The Lacy Nook’s Secret Bloody Mary. Alternatively go for the Turmeric Ginger Latte with soya milk and nutmeg if you’re in need of a warming treat.
