West London’s favourite summer rooftop pop up Pergola on the Roof is back, with three new restaurants to tickle your taste buds. Resident burger joint Patty and Bun are joined by new kids on the block Breddos Tacos, Salt ‘n’ Sauce, and 8 Hoxton Square.

What to Expect…

Look out for delicious food from Breddos Tacos

Breddos Tacos offer just that – tacos – served hot and fresh. They all come with a good dose of spice so not for those with a milder palate. The masa fried chicken is hot and crispy, and our favourite was the carne asada steak taco we were initially wary of the bone marrow butter, but don’t be put off, they’re delicious!

Fried chicken and carne tacos

Definitely don’t miss their guacamole (and of course, corn chips), which is creamy and comes with big chunks of avo.

It’s all about the beef dripping chips with your fish

‘Salt ’n’ sauce’ from London seafood favourites Bonnie Gull bring the summer seaside vibe to the rooftop. The big helping of the classic fish and – proper beef dripping – chips comes fresh out the fryer, and we recommend pairing it with their special brown sauce. For those who fancy something a bit more luxurious, don’t miss the lobster roll.

In true British summer style, they are also serving proper ‘Mr Whippy’ ice-cream cone complete with a chocolate flake, which is the perfect combination for a hot summer’s day!

Head to 8 Hoxton Square for tapas style treats

8 Hoxton Square will transport you to the med with their tapas style treats. The food is – do we dare to say it – a little healthier than some of the other Pergola offerings. The chargrilled prawns, with yoghurt, parsley and pomegranate is deliciously refreshing and vegetarians will love their burrata and tomato option, which can come served as a salad or on bruschetta.

Who doesn’t love Patty & Bun?

Finally, this year Patty and Bun are back with everything we know and love. Great burgers, great chips, and a delicious side of smokey confit chicken wings with BBQ sauce – fabulously named ‘Winger Winger Chicken Dinner’, which will create just as much mess as the burgers!

Those frozen Margaritas are a treat

What to Drink

The frozen margarita cocktails are cold and refreshing for those hot summer days!

Best for…

After work drinks. Don’t be put off by our typical grey British Summer, as blankets are provided too so you can snuggle underneath them together and keep warm.
