“London meets Island culture.” Explore Caribbean food, drink and music as Rotishop launches in North London…

What to Expect

Island Social Club is launching Rotishop this weekend with delicious food, rum punch, giveaways, an outdoor party and more. This is one hot weekend event showcasing the homemade rotis and curries to be sold over summer from a colourful street food hut sharing the traditional cuisines from all of the Caribbean. Good vibes and good food to have you dreaming of the Caribbean, what more do you need?

What to Try

Start the party with a rum punch, while soaking up the music from DJ’s playing beats from #allislands.

Indulge in small bites including Cassava Fries and Market Fritters (butternut squash).

But the star of the show has to be the roti, (well it is called Rotishop) based on the chapati brought to the Caribbean islands by Indian settlers. You’ll find this commonly in street food in Guyana and Trinidad.

Get ticking flavours from the Caribbean: go for the  ‘Low & Slow’ – Mutton Curry; or the ‘Colombo de Poulet’ – Chicken Curry, made with a recipe that has its roots in Martinique, using rum marinated chicken and pumpkin.

Indulge in ‘The Italist’ – a vegan curry. ‘Ital’ is a principal celebrated by the Rastafari movement, and this curry includes a kick using ginger, chilli and coconut milk.

Best For

Party lovers looking for fun, feasting and vibes.
