Street Eats: Baz & Fred

Food, News  /   /  By Jess

Get yourself to Flat Iron Square to enjoy Baz & Fred’s trademark pizza in their first permanent location.

What to Expect

Taking centre stage in the Food Hall in Flat Iron Square is Baz & Fred’s first permanent pizza kitchen. With 6 ovens in total, the guys are geared up to serving Roman-style stone baked pizzas to hungry Londoners.

The Chadwick Oven is Baz & Fred’s secret to thin pizza with a perfect crust; designed by Baz’s godfather, Dan Chadwick, the oven produces a crisp base in 4 minutes by replicating a traditional brick pizza oven. Fast food at its finest!

What to Eat

No starters, no sides, no distractions: it’s all about the pizza. And with dough proven for 36 hours and the majority of toppings being sourced straight from Italy, it’s tasty pizza at that. Meat lovers can choose from various delicious options: the Napoli Salami is finished off with pesto, rocket, fresh chilli and mozzarella, while the Parma Ham is also topped with Portobello mushroom, mozzarella, rocket and garlic parsley oil.

Vegetarians (and purists) have the choice of the Margherita or the Marinara – with the addition of garlic, capers and oregano – while the Goats’ Cheese with caramelised onion, rocket and balsamic is a cheese lover’s dream.

Best for…

Grab your mates or colleagues and pay Baz & Fred a visit after work. The communal seating is great for groups and there’s a bar opposite.

Don’t Miss

Perch on the bench opposite the kitchen to see the boys at work. It’ll make you exhausted just watching! Time to refuel with another slice of pizza…
