Head to the buzz of Battersea Rise for brunch at latest hotspot Bababoom Charcoal Kebab Kitchen to experience kebabs in a whole(some) new way!
What to Expect
Bababoom gives brunch a kebab-inspired makeover, with Middle-Eastern flavours and first-rate Persian flatbreads.
What to Eat
The brunch menu isn’t just kebabs, although we strongly recommend The Good Morning Meat Kebab, with lamb merguez sausage, date-glazed bacon, za’taar tomato, fried eggs and harissa labneh.
There’s a veggie version too, with grilled Mastelo cheese, chermoula aubergine and avocado tahini, and both are served on a flatbread.
For a lighter option, go for the Ultrarunner (running prior to feasting is not essential) with soft poached eggs, harissa labneh, roasted squash tabbouleh, fattoush salad and za’taar dusted flatbread.
What to Drink
Bababoom have a range of juices and teas, and they serve Caravan Daily Blend Coffee (with free refills, perfect for long lazy brunches). The cocktails are good too, with special mention going to the aptly named Bloody Good Mary – made with Aylesbury Duck Vodka and Kümmel (a caraway, cumin and fennel liqueur), a homemade spice mix and served with a home-pickled chilli, this is possibly one of the best Bloody Marys out there!
An interesting brunch menu that’s full of flavour (no avocado on toast in sight!).
Save room for pudding (or just start with it) as the Baba’s Eggy Bread is not to be missed! Cinnamon-dipped eggy flatbread, with Nutella, caramelised banana, clotted cream and honeycomb, is the perfect weekend indulgence.
