St Patrick’s Day is coming and yes, we know most of you will be finding a pub to celebrate. We have three events with a food and drink twist to get you through the weekend…

The Bán Poitín Party

Celebrate at Hackney cocktail bar and pub The Sun Tavern and get tasting Poitín, a traditional Irish spirit that ranges between 40-90% strength, with an illicit past. Fourpure Brewery will also be providing oatmeal stout. There’ll be special cocktails with Bán Poitín available for one night only at just £6. Go for a Galway Bay (Bán Poitín, homemade lime cordial, citric acid and bay leaf); and Power To Your Elbow (Bán Poitín, Amaro Montenegro, Black Sheep espresso and Fourpure Oatmeal Stout). Or opt for a more traditional Beer and a Bump with Fourpure’s Oatmeal Stout and a measure of Bán Poitín for £5.

And if you’re hungry local pie and mash shop, G. Kelly will be dishing out some free grub with Bán Poitín and jellied eels to live Irish music.
