The very first Sandwich Fest is about to take place in London…
What to Expect
On Saturday 20 May in celebration of British Sandwich Week, Sandwich Fest will bring together 8 of the London’s top street food vendors and restaurants, with one focus – upping the sandwich game. There will also be craft beer, cocktails and live music. Celebrated sandwich specialists, Brindisa, Deeney’s, Grill My Cheese, Le Bao, Project Sandwich and The Piadina Project are confirmed to take part in the event, with two more traders to be announced.
What to Eat
Try a signature sandwich from each of the traders…
Brindisa, will showcase the finest Spanish ingredients including their chorizo roll; Deeney’s, will serve their ‘Macbeth‘ haggis toast. Grill My Cheese, will take the humble cheese toastie to the next level while Le Bao are serving up a modern twist on the traditional Taiwanese Bao bun. Project Sandwich, will deliver classics from across the globe; and The Piadina Project, are all about their Italian flatbreads with a Lincolnshire twist.
In addition, sandwich fanatics will also have their say on judging a competition for ‘Best Sandwich’ at Sandwich Fest. They’ll be able to try taster-sized portions from savory to sweet offerings such as ice cream sandwiches.
