1. Japanese Bespoke Brunch: Murakami

You can choose your dishes from each section: Starters and Salads; Hot Plates; Robata Japanese Grill; and the Sushi Bar.

Must-try: The Red Wave Roll – spicy tuna and cucumber in a roll, wrapped in tuna with Kizame Wasabi and Wasabi Mayo. And there’s the Murakami Roll, with salmon, tuna, avocado and tobiko wrapped in a cucumber sheet.

2. Meat Feast: Hotbox

Or make it sweet with the Banana Belgian Waffle with banana and cashew ice cream and chocolate sauce. There’s something for everyone. 

Must-try: The 8 hour smoked pork ribs with a Scotch Bonnet glaze and served with pickles.

3. Bottomless Pineapple-infused Sake: Shackfuyu


Head to Shackfuyu every Sunday for bottomless pineapple-infused sake. Indulge in the best of Shackfuyu, with a selection of popular classics and brand new dishes, all with a brunch twist. Choose two dishes from small plates and one larger dish off the menu.

Tem Ban’s founder and head chef Craig Broadhurst’s passion for Thai food was awakened and developed while working at various stints at The Begging Bowl in Peckham, Andy Oliver’s Thai Grill at Bar Story, and at the Smoking Goat. You may have heard of Tem Ban’s sell-out launch dinners at The Lido Cafe or a few previous popups. Expect full-on flavours, traditional Thai cooking and an array of snacks, small and large dishes, as well as brunch specials from Tem Ban’s first extended residency.

Must-try: Dishes include Banana Roti with condensed milk, and refreshing seasonal Fruit Salad with lemongrass infused syrup and watermelon granita.

7. ‘Birds and Bubbles’: Ma’Plucker

What is it? Take a whole chicken – straight from the rotisserie, chipotle rubbed and roasted. Add a base – salad, buns or maple waffles; throw in 2 sides – Ma’s slaw, seasonal greens, or crack and cheese (mac and cheese balls); and you have a whopping chicken feast. And it doesn’t end there –you’ll get a stack of Ma’s famous hot miniature doughnuts smothered in hot caramel sauce as an extra sweet treat. And let’s not forget the unlimited prosecco for two hours!

Must try: The chicken of course!

Australian-inspired Beany Green mixes coffee and brunches with a healthy (but damn tasty!) twist. This is a serious case of you snooze you lose. 

Must-try: The Coconut Bread French Toast or the Avocado on Organic Fermented Activated Charcoal Sourdough (striking in appearance and supposed to offer health benefits) with Lemon Dukkah and you can add a dollop of home made chilli pesto.

Deal: Bottomless Brunch for £35pp served from 10am Monday to Saturday and from noon on Sunday, which offers one cold and one hot dish, plus bottomless prosecco, mimosas, Bloody Marys, coffee or smoothies and juices.

9. All day comfort food: Yolk


It’s all about the all-day comfort food here. We hear there’s perfectly poached Eggs Benedict, Florentine and Royalethese eggs are Burford Browns par-cooked in their shell and then cooled in an ice bath ready to poach to order for the perfect hot, oozy yolk. Go for the bacon sandwich with smoked whisky whisky butter; a poached Rancheros – smashed avocado and poached eggs served up on toasted sourdough and topped with tomato, chilli, coriander and lime – and Buttermilk Waffles with cinnamon and spices, served with maple mascarpone and a berry compote.

Must-try: Go for Yolk’s signature Duck Bun – pulled confit duck with aioli and balsamic onion jam topped with a confit duck-egg yolk.

Deal: Make it bottomless with two hours of Prosecco or Mimosas plus one dish for £35.

10. Italian feasting: POLPO


Transport yourself to the rustic backstreets of Venice at POLPO and indulge in their brand new brunch. You can go for Umbrian Poached Eggs and Scafata packed with vegetables and summer flavours. And our bet is that the Brunch Pizzetta with Italian sausage, wild mushroom, parmesan and a soft egg is right up your street.

Must-try: If you’re feeling sweet stuff, try the Frittole sweet Venetian doughnuts rolled in cinnamon sugar.

Deal: Half price prosecco at £16 a bottle. As if we needed any more persuasion.

11. Bountiful Brunch: Victory Mansion

This hidden gem is tucked away on Stoke Newington Road with a menu created by Ottolenghi’s protégé. For brunch time feasting think burnt miso prawn sandwiches, poached eggs with sourdough, spring onion and pumpkin fritters.

Must-try: Bacon lover – there’s the bacon, poached egg on sourdough with pea shoots. Or there’s the homemade sausage, cheddar and chilli ketchup on sourdough.

Deal: Make it bottomless for £15 extra on cocktails including the classics – Espresso Martini’s with Hazelnut, Bloody Mary’s with Guinness and Marmite and Aperol Spritz.
