Pasta Remoli turns the traditional Italian dining experience on its head with an innovative menu that you can tailor to your own taste.

What to Expect

Making use of only Italian ingredients to create homemade natural products, this is a little bit of Italy in London. The concept of Pasta Remoli is simple: choose your pasta, select a sauce, and you have it, a bespoke meal. I hear you asking: but the classics work best, where do I begin? Well, you’re not left floundering in the dark, the menu comes with the chef’s recommended combos. But mixing and matching something a little more unique to your taste is what makes Pasta Remoli stand out from the crowd.

So how did it all start out? For four years, Simone Remoli, inspired by his grandmother’s cooking, trained in the kitchens of the most endorsed restaurants in central Rome where he learnt the ancient art of traditional Roman cuisine. Then he went on to gain experience at top London restaurants such as Roka and Robata, Barrafina, Locanda Locatelli and Bocca di Lupo. Now, he’s brought his expertise to the high street in a unique way.

What to Eat

Before you nose dive into the pasta, check out the starters (we advise sharing two) such as Deep Fried Arancini with seasonal filling or the creamy Burrata Cheese and Parma Ham. You can enjoy a traditional Bruschetta with tomato, pesto, and pickled veg, or branch out and devour the Duck Breast Carpaccio.

There’s a huge range of homemade fresh pasta to choose from, including parpadelle, linguine, maccheroncini and good old spaghetti as well as gnocchi and gluten-free pasta. Not forgetting filled pasta like Truffle and Mushroom Ravioli and Ham and Parmesan Tortellini.

Sauces range from simple Tomato and Basil or Arrabbiata, to hearty Bolognese and Italian Pork Sausage, or Fresh Seafood.

Simone recommends combining the Oxtail Agnolotti with the Oxtail Sauce, while other chef recommendations include Spinach and Ricotta Ravioli with Butter and Sage or Aubergine and Roasted Tomato Ravioli with Cherry Tomato and Ricotta Sauce.

What to Drink

Aperol Spritz of course! Or sip on a Peroni. There’s a healthy choice of Italian wines, too, from Montepulciano D’Abruzzo and Chianti Classico to Pinot GrigioRosé Blush and Prosecco.

Best for…

Pre-theatre dinner if you’re checking out the local Park Theatre a few steps up the road. With its funky wall art it’s the perfect spot for a relaxed first date, or bring a group and book the upper level and create your own Italian feast under the vine-clad trellis.
