3. Crêpes, Galettes and Cider: MAMIE’S
MAMIE’S keep it simple and authentic, from the menu to the cider served in bolées. Head here for a traditional Breton crêperie experience, and tuck in to galettes if you’re in the mood for savoury, and crêpes if you’re after something sweet. The crispy galettes are made from buckwheat flour – perfect if you’re looking for a gluten-free alternative. Shane’s on Canalside have a solid savoury offering, including either a Buttermilk and Bacon Pancake with kale, a poached egg and hollandaise sauce, or a Rosemary Pancake with Butternut Squash along with goat’s cheese and sage butter, for only £7 each. If you like to keep it sweet and simple, go for the all-you-can-eat lemon and sugar option for just £12.

6. Pancake Challenge: The Breakfast Club
The rules are simple: eat a stack of 12 pancakes in 12 minutes or less and if you win, it’s on The Breakfast Club. If you lose, you’ll pay full price and they’ll donate all of the profits to local charities. The menu features the savoury Bourbon Pulled-Pork Cubanos, with cheese, kale and pickled slaw, as well as super-sweet options, including the Triple Chocolate, with fudge and mallow, the Salted Caramel Banoffee and the Lemon Meringue Pie.

8. Vietnamese: Viet Grill and Cây Tre
For one day only, get your hands on the Banh Xèo pancake – a take on the traditional Vietnamese dish. Made with a coconut and turmeric rice pancake filled with red sea prawns, pork belly, mung bean sprouts and button mushrooms, it packs a flavoursome punch!

9. Scandinavian: Aster
