What to Eat

Sharers ahoy...

Sharers ahoy…

This place has got sharing down to a fine art. We combined a selection of the Small and Sharing plates, starting with the Charcuterie Board crowd-pleaser, with a selection of cured meats, lush housemade pâté and roast ham with Caponata and fresh cob loaf. The table was swiftly filled with Crispy Peppered Squid with coriander, spring onion and chilli; succulent Mini Honey Sausages with a sticky honey and mustard glaze; a fragrant Chilli Lemon Guacamole Salad; Pigs Cheek and Black Pudding Croquettes with Granny Smith apple compote; and obligatory Housemade Fries with indulgent Béarnaise sauce.

But if you’re not much of a sharer there’s plenty of choice in the mains too, with the ‘Wonky Veg’ Aubergine Curry with coconut chickpeas and flatbread (wonky isn’t wasted in this bar); while seafood-lovers can grab Steamed Mussels Mariniere, Sea Bass or Rainbow Trout; and meat-eaters should try the Beer Braised Brisket of Beef with sweet potato mash (available on the Sunday Roast menu along with traditional chicken). And the next day there’s always the breakfast menu… available ’til 11.30am.
