Italian beer brand Birra Moretti bring their food and drink festival, Moretti Gran Tour to London this July…
What to Expect
The Moretti Gran Tour returns this summer and is set to be bigger and better. This five-day event highlights the Birra Moretti philosophy “Italian for what matters” – so join in enjoying a Moretti while sampling dishes from nine of the best Italian street food vendors and get a taste of the different regions.
What to Eat?
Choose to indulge from Pizza Pilgrims, whose journey began on a tour of Italy in a traditional Italian Ape van. They will be serving a host of Napolean inspired pizzas. Get a taste of the Calabria region with Pasta E Basta, who will serve their Bucanti with Nduja spicy sausage, along with fusilli with Calabrese red pepper, basil, pecorino and chilli pesto.
Looking for a modern twist on traditional Italian dishes? Head to Tongue N Cheek as they prepare Rome inspired burgers and lamb cutlets. Returning visitors will recognise Wop’s founder, Giacomo Bia, from last year’s event as well as the Arancini Brothers who will be serving their delicious arancini balls.
Hackney-based Just Fab, are the newest vendor to join the tour, cooking up vegan interpretations of Sicilian food at the event. Those with a sweet tooth will be treated to freshly, hand made artisan gelato by La Gelatiera.
Get booking the masterclasses for a few handy tips. There’s the Tuscan Butchery Masterclass hosted by Forza Win. Learn about the basics of butchery, the craft of cooking and the enjoyment of eating, all paired with a Birra Moretti. Then there’s the Pasta Making Masterclass with Brighton-based CinCin. Recreate one of four pasta dishes from scratch whilst enjoying a Birra Moretti paired to that dish.
Take a stop by the traditional Italian market where guests can purchase the very best fresh Italian ingredients in order to relive the aromas and flavours of the Moretti Gran Tour at home.
