Seafood lovers and those in need of a romantic or unique dining spot, look no further: London Shell Co. are launching their first permanent, floating restaurant on the Regent’s Canal. Get ready for a menu packed with seasonal dishes, bespoke wine and cocktails, all on the beautiful Prince Regent. What a setting…

What to Expect?

London Shell Co. is a floating restaurant aboard The Prince Regent and will be residing in Paddington, offering lunches and cruising dinners as part of a fun and intimate dining experience.

Having gone from supper club to floating restaurant, owners Harry and Leah have created a great atmosphere with attention to detail and care, from the ingredients used to the drinks served at the bar. And expect a poem or two from a certain guest!

What to Try

What not to try?! Expect a focus on locally sourced ingredients. We loved the starters of Lindisfarne Oysters and Angel Hair Fries – you can’t imagine dining on a seafood cruise without beginning in this fashion, (just be careful with squeezing that lemon, as we may have gotten it in our neighbour’s face!). Moving on swiftly, the menu takes you through a journey of Smoked Cod’s Roe and Burnt Leaks on Toast, and crispy, crumbed Skate Knobs.

Intimate and cosy dining

Don’t miss the refreshing salad of  Mussels, Cockles and Cuttlefish, which cuts through all the rich flavours. We dug into a Winter Vegetable Stew with Cannellini Beans, Squid and Sausage, the ultimate comfort food for winter.

And dessert, who can say no to Baked Apple and custard?

What to Drink

Start off this beautiful evening with a glass of Hattingley Valley, Classic Cuvee, Hampshire, 2013. This sparkling wine has crispy notes that balance well with your dishes. Don’t be afraid to ask for wine recommendations as these guys know their stuff; or head to the cocktail menu. We loved The East India No. 2, with Fino Sherry, Miro Vermouth and Orange Bitters.

Date nights (what’s more romantic than a dining cruise under the stars along the canal?) or a special dinner party with friends before Christmas.

Don’t Miss
