Tuck into delicious Pan Asian dishes while you challenge your dinner companions to a game of pong at innovative, interactive inamo.
What to Expect
The third opening within the inamo family, the Camden restaurant is as cool and as effortless as you’d expect, with copper interiors and low-lighting. The interactive tables are at the heart of the dining experience, letting you order food with just a few taps.
Play games such as Memory and Pong, draw directly onto the table surface with inadoodle or choose your tablecloth – from a galaxy of shining stars to blooming cherry blossoms. You can even watch the chefs preparing your food in the kitchen, making every table a chef’s table!
What to Eat
The food is just as mesmerising as the tablecloth. Sushi- and sashimi-lovers are spoilt for choice: favourites include the Dragon Roll topped with crunchy tempura shrimp, and the Ponzu Salmon Ceviche.
Then there’s the selection of Asian tapas, including Korean Chicken Wings sprinkled with desiccated coconut; Char Sui Buns filled with BBQ pork; and Scallop served in the shell for added drama.
The inamo classics – larger dishes suitable for a main course or for two to share – includes the obligatory Duck with Pancakes, as well as flavoursome meat and fish dishes, such as Pork Chop with Yakiniku Sauce and Spicy Miso Salmon. Your eyes will be bigger than your belly, but you won’t care as you devour another beef-brisket filled Yum Bun.
What to Drink
The cocktail menu is varied, with Asian flavours that complement the food, including the Lychee Martini and the Sake Mojito. There’s also a selection of draft and bottled Japanese beers, as well as wines from across the globe. If you’re feeling brave, there’s both hot and cold sake for a post-dinner palate cleanser!
The menu is perfect for ordering lots of plates to share; the addictive games also make it great for groups. But it’s also a fun date spot, and a great conversation-starter if you’re still getting to know each other. An old-school game of Memory is sure to break the ice…
The Wagyu Burgers and Wasabi Fries are a decadent Pan Asian take on a British favourite. Made for two to share, and with Valentine’s Day just around the corner, impress your date with a slap up piece of meat and a flattering caricature drawn in front of their eyes on the table.
