Trees tower over me as I catch a glimpse of a wolf and an elk through wispy leaves and branches. At last I’ve spied the Kopparberg cider and beer bar ahead. ‘Välkommen till Kopparberg’.

Welcome to Kopparberg, the Kopparberg Urban Forest in Dalston that is.

If you’re looking for a new summer popup spot in East London, hosting street food, streetart, drinks and music, look no further than the Kopparberg Urban Forest. Enter past the beautifully artworked walls and under a canopy of leaves and branches. There’s hints of the Swedish woodland that’s situated by the brewery in Kopparberg, offering visitors a temporary whimsical escape from the city.

Food and drink

Kopparberg Urban Forest will host an eclectic mix of food and drink. There’s the Kopparberg Bar with classic cider flavours including Naked Apple, Pear, Strawberry and Lime, as well as the slightly more tart Cloudberry flavour (which we loved). There’s also beers from the Kopparberg Bryggeri or cocktails to treat yourself to.

Fika, Brick Lane’s Swedish Bar and Kitchen, will be serving their famous meatballs, including a choice of beef, or for the adventurous, elk.

Buffalo Joe’s serve up hot chicken wings with a blue cheese dip, Philly cheesesteaks, and BBQ pulled pork baps with homemade slaw.

Music

Having opened with Kelis, Kopparberg Urban Forest promises an exciting lineup over summer including Little Dragon and a Lovebox afterparty.

Art

There’s plenty of graffiti from local artists to be found at Kopparberg’s Urban Forest
