Here East’s Canalside

Food  /

Here East is the new hotspot for creative and digital industries being developed at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Don’t miss the new kids on the block – the new restaurants settling down over on Canalside

What to Expect?

Having opened in May, Canalside sits along the Lee Canal with green spaces and a few restaurant, bars, cafés and shops for Here East’s growing community as well as people visiting Hackney and the Olympic Park.

Where to Eat?

You’re spoilt for choice. First there’s The Breakfast Club – head here for something for everyone and ultimate comfort food, at any time of the day. If classic, rustic Italian dining is your thing, try out Gotto, an Italian trattoria from the duo behind Soho’s Pere e Mele for a seasonal daily changing menu with homemade breads, pastas, ice-cream and their signature vermouth. We can’t wait to try out Mason & Company, where craft beer meets street food with an ultimate pairing from the team behind Hackney’s Five Points Brewing Company and the Italio-American street food operator Capish. Get your wings on from around the world with Randy’s Wing Baralongside chicken burgers and side dishes. And finally Shane’s on Canalsidefocuses on wild foraged seasonal produce, as well as promoting local and ethical food and drink producers within the restaurant.

Don’t Miss

The second wave of retailers opening at Canalside will be announced in the summer.
