Fowl Mouths bring Japanese comfort food to their latest pop up at The Table Café. Get booking your Friday evenings for this feast…

Who are They?

Having eaten her way around Japan, Melissa Thompson started Fowl Mouths to share the ‘soulful’ and heartier side of Japanese food. Think “made with love, eaten with joy”, there is a commitment to delivering full-on taste and flavour in each dish. From supper clubs to residencies across South London spots, Fowl Mouths bring the kitchen to The Table Café each Friday in June, a hidden gem on the Southbank.

What to Try?

It’s a four-course menu that marries Japanese flavours with comfort food. Feast on Teriyaki Chilli Wings – delicious with a sweet, chilli kick; and twice-fried Kara-age Chicken with wasabi coleslaw for a twist on fried chicken. Go for the Asparagus with Yuzu Hollandaise for a refreshing start; or dig into the Ginger and Sake Pork Hirata Bun

Cherry Sencha Panna Cotta

Don’t Miss…

And to end the feast? There’s the Chocolate Sesame Ball with Matcha Ice Cream, or our favourite, the Cherry Sencha Panna Cotta for a hint of cherry blossom sakura season for a sensational mix of creaminess, fruit and crunch.
