Who are They?

Allihopa launched last spring on London’s street food scene making a name for themselves as smoked fish artisans with a Scandi twist. Co-founders Jake and Sam produce cold-smoked trout from their Norfolk smokehouse, served up with delicious homemade pickles and sauces. Expect an eclectic blend of saltiness, sweetness, acidity, smoke and heat – there’s a taste to suit every palate, which is perfect as Allihopa means “everybody” in Swedish!

What to Try?

Try Allihopa’s signature street food dishes including fish balls, and the Zlatan bun stuffed with home-smoked fish and 48-hour salted pork belly. If it’s a small snack to go with your pint there’s the smoked haddock scotch egg. For a taste of traditional Scandinavian dishes try the Janssons Temptation tartiflette with anchovies or mushrooms for veggies; or choose one of the big plates including Pyttipanna hash with mushrooms, parsnips and onions. No Scandinavian feast would be complete without Swedish meatballs with mash, pickled cucumber and lingonbelly jam.

What to Drink?

Be sure to check out The King & Co’s beer board for a monthly selection of ales, lagers and stouts from London breweries, as well as breweries from the UK and Europe. If you need help on pairing speak to any of the staff for great tips. Five Points Brewing Company are June’s brewery of the month.

Don’t Miss

Need a comforting pick-me-up over the weekend? Go for Allihopa’s debut of brunch dishes with a great Scandinavian twist on breakfast favourites – including the ägg royale with hand-smoked Norfolk trout, poached egg and dill hollandaise on rye sourdough. And of course, this is only best paired with The King & Co‘s bottomless Bloody Marys, Cava and selected cask ale for an extra £15.

Tucked away from the busy side of Clapham Common, this is a great spot for summer beer drinking.
