London hotel The Hari shares two of its new cocktails for you to try at home.
The extensive cocktail list at Belgravia’s The Hari includes the signature Hari cocktail – a shaking of Jensen Gin, masala chai tea, served with a sprinkle of gold dust, and the Thyme is Endless – a blend of vodka shaken with crushed ice, fresh blueberries and lime, decorated with a sprig of thyme. Now it’s your turn to get out the shaker, and make like a mixologist.
The Hari – Cocktail Recipe (pictured above)
70cl Jensen Gin
Masala chai tea – 2 teaspoons
Pour the gin, honey and tea into a shaker and mix vigorously to infuse the flavours of the gin with that of the masala chai tea, serve in a chilled coupet. To finish brush the outer glass with honey and sprinkle with chai tea, remove the excess then burnish with a sprinkling of gold dust. Or something similar…
Thyme Is Endless – Cocktail Recipe
50ml Belvedere Vodka
Thyme – 1 small bunch
Half a lime
20ml Sugar syrup
Muddle half of the lime in the boston shaker with sugar syrup, topped with fresh blueberries. Add in the vodka and crushed ice before shaking. Serve in an old fashioned glass with a spring of thyme to garnish.
