Don’t miss the final of this year’s British Street Food Awards this weekend, from 5- 6 December. After four regional heats, the finalists will be parking at London’s O2 for one final cook off.
Set up by award-winning food journalist Richard Johnson in 2009, the British Street Food Awards champions the very best of the 10,000 young chefs cooking on Britain’s streets and beyond.
This year’s panel includes some of the biggest names in the food industry, from Michelin-starred chef Giorgio Locatelli, award-winning food writer Fay Ripley, and street food legend Neil Rankin, and founder Richard Johnson. Winner of the People’s Choice Award will be determined by YOU, via voting on the app here (there’s still time).
Try as much as you can from the finalists with tasters at £3/£4 (share with your mates and you’ll get more). Dishes include pizza with a twist, a “Freakie Tikkie” lamb burger, Pistachio Mortadella Croquettes, crab burgers, and much more: there is a lot to choose from. Finalists hail from Yorkshire, London, Suffolk, Tyne and Wear, Pembrokeshire, Kent, Sussex, Devon, Cornwall and Selkirkshire.

With music from Naughty Boy to DJ sets, and live music, the event will be a great day out. There’ll be Street Food Crazy Golf, The Artisan Musical, as well as beer and street food pairings from Sharp’s Brewery, and don’t miss a free pint of Doom Bar or Cornish Pilsner.
This competition is now closed.
